The CRS score is based on the information provided in the candidate's profile, and the highest-scoring candidates are invited to apply for permanent residence through regular draws from the pool. Candidates who receive an invitation to apply (ITA) have 60 days to submit a complete application for permanent residence.

The Express Entry system manages three federal economic immigration programs:

• 1. Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP): for skilled workers with foreign work experience, who have a minimum of one year of skilled work experience and meet other eligibility criteria.
• 2. Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP): for skilled tradespeople with 2 years of work experience in a skilled trade, who meet other eligibility criteria.
• 3. Canadian Experience Class (CEC): for temporary foreign workers or international graduates who have at least one year of skilled work experience in Canada, and meet other eligibility criteria.

To be eligible for Express Entry, candidates must meet the eligibility requirements of at least one of the three federal economic immigration programs
